Making waves in the real world adds credibility to teachers on a collegiate level in the eyes of students said Paul J. Ford, CEO of MediaRight, to a group of scholars on Monday.

Paul J. Ford, CEO of MediaRight, from St. George, Utah, announced today that in the coming year he would consider teaching Marketing Principles on a University level.

"Students appreciate an honest conversation, when I mention to students that I have had my nose bloodied several times out in the real world, they start to listen. Lessons have been learned the hard way many times. Picking myself up after a knock down has taught me some valuable instruction that has been key to current success. When teaching students, stories are invaluable. You may remember key terms and definitions for a few weeks, but a principle based story can stay with a student for a lifetime." When asked if Ford would consider teaching on a full time basis he replied, "There are a few more peaks to climb, and a few more battles to win, before I would like to teach students the Art of Business." At the age of 34, Paul Ford, has had his share of successes. Currently Ford is consulting many small and mid cap companies. Helping to bring them needed exposure. Most of these companies are being traded through Pink Sheets and Bulletin Board type venues. Ford admits a large portion of his success has come from the schooling he received at Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah, where he was disciplined in sound business principles by professors such as Powell, Evans, and Hamlin. "SUU provided an avenue with few obstacles. Classes were small, and the professors were eager to assist students. I wasn't the greatest student on paper, but I listened intently and hung on every word the professors would say."

Ford has had 3 different jobs in the last 10 years. For several years he was the president of Cutting Edge Inc., a contracting firm, providing services in Utah and Nevada. He was then offered a position as Vice President of Marketing for TCN, a VOIP technology company. A highlight with TCN was meeting with members of congress in Washington D.C., for contractual negotiations in 2002.

Currently, Ford is leading MediaRight, a marketing company, specializing in traditional marketing coupled with internet optimization. Positively Ford concluded, "The fields of Business, Engineering, Medicine, and Science are constantly evolving. Every day there is ‘breaking news' in one area or another. It is exciting to live at this time in history, with so much information at our fingertips. The concept of ‘life-long' learning has taken on new meaning. Everyone is a student, and everyone is a teacher."

To young students, Ford always says, "Success has no age. With age comes experience, but success should come everyday, as you do the right things. I believe that there is always a right way and a wrong way in all things. The shades of gray, or dilemmas, that we encounter usually present themselves as we let our minds cloud with justification. At this time, the business world is in need of strong leaders with integrity that strive to malign no one. We all make mistakes, but it takes a great man or woman to quickly resolve that which they have done wrong."
