Ford Audio-Video Rental Department Adds Video Production

March 12, 2004 -- Ford Audio-Video Systems Inc. wishes to announce that its Rental Division has added a portable 3-camera video production system to our rental capabilities. The system is capable of broadcast quality image magnification, videotaping of events, and the broadcast of closed circuit television coverage of events. The system can be used to support a web cast meeting, or even a video overflow room for a large event.

The new system is a multi-camera production system built around the JVC GY550U digital DV camcorder camera and the Camplex CP601 signal and control multiplexer and CCU. The system switches and routes video signals in the component (YUV) realm throughout the system. There is also a video scalar on the output of the system to upscale the video signal to RGBHV for outputting to high resolution projection systems. The system has the ability to record and playback on DV, Mini DV, or SVHS formats. Beta SP format players or recorders may be added if required.

The system includes auxiliary frame synchs to accommodate feeds such as satellite, cable, or additional tape machines. A computer scan converter is included to bring computer signals into the production switcher allowing seamless switching between computer graphics and video.
The system is built into ATA rated flight cases so it can go anywhere from inside a church to a convention center without having to park a "big TV truck" somewhere outside the building. This eliminates large power hookups for truck AC and power systems as well as eliminates the need to string long camera cables out of the building.

According to Tulsa Rental Manager Don Worley, "the acquisition of this system greatly enhances the capabilities of Ford Audio-Video's Rental Division. We can now provide a cost effective solution with broadcast quality for our customers needing professional video production but who do not have the space or budget to hire a television truck."

Ford Audio-Video Systems Inc. can also provide experienced photographers, video engineers, and video directors to make a complete solution for your video production needs. Please call Don Worley at (918) 664-2420 or Patrick Gray at (405) 946-9966 for bookings or information.
